If summer was an album, it would be “The Album” by The Jonas Brothers

Summer has officially arrived in New York City. If the 75 degree temperature isn’t convincing enough, The Jonas Brothers’ latest album will seal the deal.

The album, literally called “The Album,” dropped last Friday and we’ve had it on repeat ever since. The upbeat rhythm encapsulates the essence of summertime perfectly and will transform you to your favorite warm weather moments: lounging by the pool, BBQs with friends, the list is endless.

Here’s the exact stream of consciousness we had listening to each song on the album, and the specific summertime moment we subconsciously associated with each track:

Miracle: Cups? Check. Snacks? Check. Speaker? Triple check.

Our go-to daytime pregame set-up soundtrack from now on. We don’t know how to explain it. Just listen to Miracle and it’ll all make sense. The jazz style of this song is perfect to get you pumped up about the day ahead of you, but not loud enough to distract you from finishing all the tasks you need to complete: gathering the snacks and inflating the floaties. You get the gist.

(BTW: If this is not jazz, don’t come for us. We have no musical background whatsoever.)

To top it all off, the repetitive beats and lyrics are guaranteed to get stuck in your head all day long. And no, this is not a bad thing at all.

Montana Sky: Sunrise pancakes

We’re imagining listening to this song at 7am on a sunny June morning while the rest of the house is still asleep. Headphones in, we’re jamming out to Montana Sky while cooking a gigantic stack of pancakes, looking out to the colorful sunrise outside our window.

Yes, we’re out here manifesting again, this time an oceanfront home. Don’t judge.

If you’re not a big breakfast person, this song feels like the best hot girl walk soundtrack. Just saying!

Wings: Best paired with a burger

Rumor has it burgers cook best when Wings is playing on blast. This is what we’re playing during the majority of a BBQ, or any other outdoor summer event for that matter. It really sets the tone for a great event, but doesn’t take up the center of attention.

Sail Away: Water, boat, beach, anything.

This song should only be played when you’re by the water and the wind is blowing in your face, white claw in hand. “By the water” is kept broad on purpose. It includes, but is not limited to, being on a boat (salivating just thinking about that), kayaking, paddle boarding, even swimming honestly.

We promise we came to this conclusion before realizing the song is called Sail Away. Pinky swear.

Americana: Time for a snackie

You know that moment when you climb out of the pool, still dripping in your towel, and book it to the outdoor table to stuff your face with chips and guac? Or a carrot and hummus? Or some ice-cold watermelon? You get the point.

Americana is what we’re listening to when lounging out outside, without a care in the world except for what we’re going to eat and how long we have to wait before jumping back into the water.

Celebrate: The title says it all

“Celebrate”by Kool & The Gang walked so Celebrate! by The Jonas Brothers could RUN.

That’s really all we have to say here.

Waffle House: Can I have a drink? Or three?

Let’s be honest. Waffle House is playing on repeat all summer long this year. It especially feels like the perfect thing to listen to while drinking a chilled beer with friends at 2pm on a Friday afternoon.

And before you say that’s never going to happen with work, you’re probably right, but we still don’t want to hear it.

Vacation Eyes: For summer, or permanent, Flings,

Slow dances on the beach, candlelit dinners, picnics under the stars. Need we say more?

Oh, one thing. Vacation Eyes is purely a nighttime song. No daytime dates allowed!

Summer in the Hamptons: Tough day at work

Before you say it, no. This song is not Magic in the Hamptons. It’s SUMMER in the Hamptons.

Regardless, we're listening to Summer in the Hamptons while sprawled out on a pool chair, unintentionally dozing off at 3pm in the sun as if we had the busiest of days. Tough day at work, we know.

Summer Baby: Pedal on the metal

Picture driving down the I95 for a day trip, googling what small ice cream shop to visit first in that small coastal town you’re visiting. Wind in your hair, windows down, of course. BLASTING Summer Baby.

Little Bird: Don’t talk to me

The quintessential post-beach ball volleyball track when we’ve tired ourselves out and are craving a more solitary activity: reading, writing, painting. Because sometimes, it’s nice to slow down, not talk to anyone, and just chill. While listening to Little Bird, that is.

Walls: Summertime madness

To close out summer nights, we’re listening to Walls. Imagine dancing by the bonfire, drinks in hand, under the stars, screaming “Levántate!” with your friends. All the feels.

We don’t know about you, but this made us so excited for the summer. Memorial Day can’t come soon enough and The Jonas Brothers are back. Yes, better than ever.
